WINTER ACTIVIES
DOES ANYONE OF ANY WINTER ACTIVIES FOR 4 YEAR OLD BOYS? I LIKE TO KEEP HIM IN SOMETHING. HE PLAYED SOCCER FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS FALL AND LOVED. HE WANTS TO PLAY T-BALL IN THE SPRING BUT HE IS SUCH AN ACTIVE KID I WANTED TO GET HIM SOMETHING THIS WINTER. ITS GOING TO BE HORRIBLE TO HIM TO KEEP HIM IN THE HOUSE SINCE WE WERE OUT SIDE AND GOING TO DO OUTSIDE STUFF THIS SUMMER SO TRYING TO COME UP WITH NEW IDEAS FOR THE WINTER. IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS IT WOULD GREAT. STUFF THAT DOESNT COST A WHOLE LOT OF MONEY.

Winter
there is a place but I will have to get the name of it from my sister I will let you know they also have activities for adults. I will get back to you on this one.
THANKS
THAT WOULD BE GREAT, THANKS!
Winter
O'Brian Center is the name of it I think it may be in South Bend. It's for ages 3 and up and they have Basketball ect.. She said everything is Coed.
THANKS
I WILL HAVE TO CHECK THAT OUT. THANKS!
Oh yes
The O'Brien Center has all kinds of activities for kids. Actually, that's on my list of things to do....post a list of winter programs and classes! :) You read my mind! I think most of their fall programs end mid Dec, so they will probably be posting winter schedules soon. I am thinking about peewee tumbling for my son. Maybe we could put the boys in the same program, and we could mingle while they are in class :) Here is the link for O'Brien's current schedule:

THANKS
YEAH HOW OLD IS YOUR SON? I WILL LOOK AT THE WEBSITE AND SEE WHEN THE CLASSES ARE.
I JUST LOOKED ON THEIR
I JUST LOOKED ON THEIR WEBSITE. I DIDNT REALIZE THEY HAD ALL THEY DID. i WILL KEEP CHECKING TO SEE WHEN THE NEXT CLASS STARTS. NOT SURE IF I WANT TO PUT HIM IN TUMBLING, SOCCER, OR BASKETBALL. HE WOULD LIKE ALL THREE.
classes
Luke is almost 3.5 yr. I was trying to decide what to put him in also, but I decided probably tumbling this time around. I think tumbling would be good for energy and coordination, and there is plenty of time for basketball later. I doubt my husband would agree with tumbling if he were much older. I can get away with it while he is still little :) If not tumbling, we would take basketball over soccer, probably. I'll keep my eyes open for the new classes and get back with you :)
MY SON PLAYED FALL SOCCER SO
MY SON PLAYED FALL SOCCER SO WE PROBABLY WONT DO SOCCER AND I DONT KNOW HOW MY HUSBAND WILL REACT TO TUMBLING I SAID SOMETHING BEFORE TO HIM ABOUT IT BECAUSE OUT SIDE HE DOES FLIPS AND STUFF AND HE SAID NO WAY IS MY SON DOING TUMBLING. I TOLD HIM IT WILL HELP HIM IN SPORTS BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT MY HUSBAND WILL DO. HIM AND MY SON ARE HUGE SPORTS FAN. MY 4YEAR OLD WOULD RATHER WATCH FOOTBALL AND OTHER SPORTS ON TV THEN KID SHOWS. WE MIGHT DO BASKETBALL. WELL MAYBE IF WE DECIDE ON THE SAME CLASS THEY CAN BE IN THE SAME ONE.
YMCA
The YMCA also has several classes for young children... tumbling, swimming, soccer, t-ball (although I think it is too late for the fall soccer session and t-ball is in the spring). Swimming is great though to fill the winter months, although it is a little more expensive than other classes due to the upkeep of the pool. It is about $66 per 8 week session and you can do 8 weeks on and off if you want a break too. Here is the link for the South Bend YMCA, http://www.michianaymca.org/.
