WiiFit at Meijer on Portage!
WOOOHHOOOO!!! I got a WiiFit!
So as of 1:00 pm, Meijer on Portage had "a few." She said they just came in this morning! My husband found one for me....he is the BEST! :)

The Wii console was $250. The WiiFit was $90. We figure it is cheaper than a gym membership for both of us, which we have considered doing for some time. Luke isn't really much into video games, so he won't play it all that much, but I think my husband and I will have fun with it after the kids are in bed. You can play tennis, bowling, golf, boxing....those are the games that come with the Wii. For us, it will be good entertainment for our super-long winters!

I'm so jealous!!! :-) I'm sure with my luck by the time I get off work and head over that way they'll be gone. Have you played it yet? How do you like it??

I couldn't believe my luck! Things like that never happen to me :) My huband went on his lunch hour, the shelf was empty but he asked anyway, and she said they just came in. He tried to get an extra one for someone here, but since it's such a hot item, they said he could only have one. I'm sure they put limits on them for those who would go selling them for a fortune on ebay! I will keep my eye out for another one though :)
I haven't played it yet...I can't hardly wait till 5:15 when my husband gets home :) I've read nothing but great reviews about it online.

My husband also found this website: zoolert.com. You just put in your email address and the item you are looking for, and it emails you an alert when something online becomes available. I believe he said it checks the major stores online every 2 minutes. Make sure when you register to go back to your email inbox and verify your registration though.

Thanks for that information. I'm going to register right now :-) That's funny I went shopping with my mom yesterday and we were on the hunt for the Wii, she said well let me ask and I said oh mom if they had any I'm sure they'd be on the shelf, so I guess it doesn't hurt to ask :-) Moms are always know best:)

I'd call that Meijer, it's such a hot item, they may not even set them out. May be worth checking.
I also have a connection at Kmart that I've asked to let me know if they get more in, so I'll let you know.
My mom lives in Florida, but she's on the hunt for one for me too. So if she finds one I'll have her send it, as long as you don't mind paying shipping from FL.

I'm going to call Portage again before I leave work, when I called the grape rd Meijer she checked every Meijer in the area and said only Portage Rd had one. I'm crossing my fingers today is my lucky day:-) If by some chance I don't get it tonight, I definatly would mind paying for shipping from FL. I just refuse to pay over a hundred plus shipping on Ebay!! :-)

I'm soooooo excited!! I called after work and she said they had one left, I work out towards Grape Rd and didn't think I was going to make it. I get there and I got the last one, she said a guy came not even 5 min before me and said he was going to finish his shopping and think about it. So it was my lucky day! :)

Ok, I have to say this thing is wonderful! I highly recommend it, and I only spent 30 minutes on it. What a fun way to work out. All of the games seem to be a few minute incriments, so it isn't like getting on the stair stepper for 30 minutes. Plus you are playing games that you don't even realize would give you a workout....it's all about balance and posture! It even tells you on a scale what your calorie burning is like, and the better you are at the games (with your balance, for example), the more calories you burn. You get a personal trainer, it helps you set goals...it's so cool!
So to answer your question Patty, it was WELL worth the money. I can see that this will be something I actually enjoy doing, while staying in shape doing it!
