What time is dinner?
My husband gets home about 5:20 - 5:30. I'd like to have dinner on the table well before 6, but I can't seem to get any cooking done before hubs gets home, so I don't usually even start until 5:30 ish. We are normally sitting down to eat by 6:15 though.
What time is dinner for your family?

Dinner at our house depends on many schedules. Work, sports, church, farm, 4h. But we try to eat between 4-8 , typically 5-6 pm. If we are on the run I will fix something that is reheatable like spagh. or sloppy joes and those that are home get to eat it hot, otherwise they eat when they get home.

I know we will get there someday once the kids are in sports and have other activities, but it's funny to hear a 4 hour window of when dinner is served. Hehe...dinner will be sometime between noon and midnight :)

I have dinner between 5-6 I go to bed at 8pm.

I was wondering about this too. I thought we were the only family out there that had a funny schedule. My husband goes in very early and is usually home by 3:00 but a lot of times I do not get home until around 5, so What I usually do is, I try to make up several things on one day so we can everyone can just come in and heat up left overs if I am not home from work yet. The slow cooker helps me out quite a bit too. I have a 16 year old who is usually never home so he eats on his own but for the two smaller children I will try to make up snack trays for them with fruits, veggies, nuts, and dip (already prepared and in the refrigerator) so they don't over eat before I get home.

ours really depends on the day of the week. There are some days we have dinner at 430p because everyone is hungry then. other days it is 630p because i was unable to get home by 5p. somedays we just snack on leftovers from other meals all day long.
When we did have a set time though it was always at 530p. I am guessing dinner will start being again more at around 630p since that will give me an hr after work to make it and serve.

I am on the same time schedule right now then you Jessica and would love to eat better at 5:30 insted of strating cooking. Right now I am cooking the chicken and cut already the vegetables while my son is sleeping so tonight I just put all together with Rice and we will be abble to eat earlier... I hope!

I get home between 4:30 - 5:00 most days. So once I get home I am always asking about dinner. I normally don't get an answer so I either start to make something or just give up and go and watch the news on TV. But if I start to make something then we normally eat between 6 - 7. It is horrible, I would love to eat around 5:30 or 6:00. But my husband isn't normally done with work until 6ish. Now when we use the crockpot which I have been trying to use more often. We get to eat much earlier. I like that alot. I like to have my son getting ready for bed around 7:30 - 8:00 and then in bed no later than 9.
