What is the best song of all time?

I'm just curious, what is your all time favorite song(s)? I've been in a music downloading mode today and I'm trying to get a good variety of songs on my Ipod so I can just put the shuffle on. I love all types of music. I'd say my top favorite songs would have to be: Kenny Chesney's The Good Stuff, Aerosmith I Don't Want to Miss a Thing, Anything Carrie Underwood, and of course I'm drawing a blank already... :-)

I have a couple
I love Tommy Tutones, 867-5309!!! I am a big fan of UB-40. I know for some of you that takes us back to school days. I love most country, and christian rock. And I have now reached the capabilities of my music mind.

Show tunes
this might take you back further than school days. The movie "Invincible" has the best soundtrack on the planet! My kids even love to listen to it in the car. Another one is "Notting Hill" soundtrack. Most movies have a variety of music and we like that. One of favs now is "Aquamarine" that movie is kid friendly and the music is more hiphop and contemporary. Lynn

Hi kchristine8, I couldn't think of the real name but the song is old, it might be Dixie Chicks but not sure, the female singer has a raspy voice. It's about a tree that is strong enough to bend... it stands in the backyard, never been broken by the wind... and the reason it's still standing cause it's strong enough to bend.
This has been an unspoken theme song for my life. This is my favorite song. Happy searching. Lynn

The one who sang that song is Tanya Tucker yeah that is a good song
Great songs
Okay, this shows my age.. but just about any song from the 70's! I love Paul McCartney and Wings, the Commodores, Queen, Earth Wind and Fire. Aretha Franklin (60's/70's) is awesome as well as The Eagles and yes.. I do love the Bee Gees (Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack!). From the 80's, Prince-- Purple Rain I loved!!

Thanks
I knew her name it just wasn't coming to me. I've loved that song since the first time I ever heard it. The Eagles are great too.Lynn

My favorite is a Christian Hymn that was written about a tragedy. The song is called "When peace like a river" The Christian group, Selah sings it and it goes by "it is well with my soul"
The orignal author who wrote the words had a family tragedy and he penned the words soon after.
