If any of you are wondering what you can be doing with your 1-3 year olds when it comes to games and activities,(especially once the weather turns cold) here's a wonderful book for you... The Toddler's Busy Book by Trish Kuffner. It's age appropriate, simple, inexpensive, and full of fun games and activities. There also is a Preschooler's Busy Book available for your 3-5 year olds!

Now that my 2 oldest are off to school, and being a former early childhood educator myself, I revisted this book looking for some new ideas for my 2 year old son. I love how you can find what you need, around your house or in your recycling bin :)

Have fun!

thanks!

Thanks for posting this! I have been wanting to go find some toddler activity books at the library. My 16 month old son is such a BUSY BODY compared to my older son at his age. Sometimes I don't know what to do with him! Today he spent 15 minutes with a handful of crayons- just putting them in one bowl, taking them out and putting them in another bowl that he went into the cupboard and got out himself! He was so entertained by that and I was able to get dinner ready. Its amazing how much they like simple household things compared to toys! lol:)

Thanks a million,
Noelle:)

simple things

It's just amazing isn't it, how the simpliest of things, like what you mentioned, can spark your child's interest and keep his attention...I just love that! Doesn't even compare to a toy out there on the market :)
