I'm wondering if any of you ladies are interested in starting some kind of weght loss challenge/accountability. After my second child I went to Weight Watchers and lost over 40 lbs and was healthier and thinner than my college days. Then I got pregnant with the third and my weight has been up and down since then. Right now I'm back up to my heaviest again. I find that I am more depressed and tired when I am like this. I don't want to spend the $ right now for a prgram or a gym, but being the competitive type I think it would help me to have to report to someone on how I was doing and I think I would be challenged/encouraged if I knew there were others in the same boat losing weight along with me. I have three little (very active) boys and a very healthy and in-shape husband. We love being outdoors, swimming, biking, hiking, etc. and I don't want to be the "odd man (or woman) out" in my family. I want to be active with them!

So . . . any takers???? Anyone want to be in on some kind of exercise/weight loss challenge with me???? No money would be involved, just on-line encouragement????

I'm at my peak weight as well. We are very active but the soda and snacks are killing me. 2 months ago I started the dvds and did really well, clothes fit better and I loved it, but small person and I got sick and it was over. Now summer is here the bathing suit I ordered would have been great on that 3 month exercised body! But I've lost the drive to continue. Support me, love me show me the way! And, I'll do the same for you. I promise I won't give any details about the jiggle going on here:) Lynn

I just had a baby 6 weeks ago I've gone to the gym twice since but my eating habits suck it doesn't help when I have a 3 year old that always wants snacks and a husband who can eat anything a not gain a pound.

I would love to join! I've put on quite a few pounds and I'm like you, don't really want to spend the money. I have been trying to eat healthier (this is my 2nd week) but I still havent excercised. Let me know if we have anymore takers :)

A Plan .. . .

Alright ladies, we'll wait another day or so to see if we have any more "takers" and then we'll come up with some kind of accountability plan to help each other out . . . .

Calorie tracking website

Just wanted to let you know of a free website that easily helps you track what you eat. The URL is www.my-calorie-counter.com. The site allows you to pick from a list of food items (I was surprised how many foods were listed). You can also add in your exercise for negative calories. Under the tools section, charts and graphs can also show other nutritional information. For example, the amount of sodium consumed that day compared to how much should be consumed. Type in goal weight and the site will determine the number of calories you can eat. I haven't used all the features on the site; however, I have liked it so far!

That site is really cool. I was able to put in everything I ate today. If it was something I made I was able to break it down and choose all the foods in it. I love that it calculates all the calories burned doing laudry and dishes:) Atleast I can say I am burning calories while doing the chores I hate!

I would like to join in for some weight loss help!!!! Since having Marisa I have had a real hard time with the flabby tummy. I also have problems with blood sugar. While pregnant with both children I did 4 to 5 insulin shots a day, so there are BIG health benefits to losing a good 40 pounds.

After having three kids real close togther I never lost the weight, and it just kept adding on. I would love to have a support group. I have been doing well going to the gym and eating healthy, but people who are also working on it would be great! Count on me!

How long is this going to run for? I know it is a lifestyle not a short term thing but are we going to set a goal date? Maybe we could share easy good receipes with each other?
