Trash pick up
I am new to the area and have some questions about trash pick up in Mishawaka. I am new to the whole picking up trash in the alley concept since back home we drug it to the curb. When we set up the trash pick up, our landlord just added our name to the account. For weeks we have just put our bags in the cans behind the garage 2 feet from the alley drive. Yesterday the men picked up everyone else's garbage but ours. Is this a mishap or did we not follow some sort of rule? Did we not move our trash close enough to the asphalt? Also how does the recycling work? I would call them myself but we havent received a bill yet, so I do not have the number. Now I will have 2 weeks worth of trash and is there a limit on how many cans?
Trash
We use Allied Waste, the number is 1-800-888-5783. The barrels have to be within 5 feet of the curb/alley. They pick up recycling on the same day. We had our old barrels when we moved here, but you could probably get some from them.

Thanks. I didnt know they gave you barrels. I just spent 65 bucks at walmart buying more trash cans. I had the trash within 5 feet. I will call tomorrow. Thanks so much for the number.
Trash
We have a rental and were told that we had to keep the trash/recycling in our name, so i would check with your landlord and make sure they have paid the bill which might be a reason your trash wasn't picked up. From my knowledge, unless your landlord sends you a bill, you might not get one-but if your name is on the bill I am not sure. Sorry i haven't been much help.

We paid the landlord 61 dollars cuss he was behind on it when we moved in. They had stopped picking up the trash before we moved into the house. Its a long story but he is a friend of a friend sort of thing so I just paid the bill for him cuss he didnt charge us anything to move in. I got a bill today for 41 dollars so now Im wondering just how far behind he really was. Im going to call tomorrow and see what is up.
