Luke is potty trained.  He doesn't have accidents, he tells us at night if he has to go, and we put away the little potty and he's using the big potty.  Our problem is he won't aim it himself.  I've tried to help him, but he holds it in the wrong place, and it end up aiming upward, or he aims/pushes it too hard and sprays it everywhere.  I've heard the cheerio trick to help them aim, but I think we need to work on HOW to aim before we teach him WHERE to aim.  I keep telling my husband HE needs to be the one to help him with it, because I really have no experience in that department, but I'm the one that's home with him all day.  Anyone have any tips on teaching him how to aim?

aiming !

My son sat to begin with on the potty and it was easier. Only after time did he feel comfortable standing up to go. It did help alot for my son to go with his daddy to the bathroom. Of coarse he wanted to be just like his dad. Today at 6 he still sits on the potty when he gets up in the middle of the night or early morning, it is what is easier! The aiming came naturally for him as he wanted to stand up.Maybe see if he will sit for a while and then as he has better aim with age he can stand. The example that your son will see in your hubby will help too.

Good luck, no fun cleaning up after bad aims !
