Riley Hospital for Children Patients

Any one go to Riley's for care? We go there atleast every three months and have for the last couple years and I just found out about a special discount network on Hotels for Riley's patients and thought I'd pass it on. Every penny counts especially with gas prices going up. Also another way I saved money for this trip is that I saved my martin's advantage gas points and I got 80 cents off a gallon up to 15 gallons which really saved us! Here's the hotel link:

Free Slurpee Day

7-11 is offering free Slurpees on 7-11. On the 7-11 website it doesn't offer any further details regarding sizes or anything so I can't help there, but it sure does sound good for a hot day. Also, as mentioned previously, don't forget that the 11th is Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A. Wear some sort of cow garb and receive a free combo meal. So, if your whole family feels like participating then they each get a meal free.

Cheap diapers!

If you aren't picky about what brand of diapers you use, I have a deal for you!  This week at Walgreens, their brand of diapers are on sale for $5.99, with $5 in RR (Register Rewards) when you buy 3.  Plus there is a $5 off purchase of 2 coupon in the July EasySaver booklet found in the front of all stores.   Here's the deal:

Buy 3 Walgreens diapers at $5.99 each ($17.97)
Use  $5/2 coupon (it will actually take $7.50 off total, so $2.50 off for each package of diapers)
You spend about $10.47 (+ tax) out of pocket, and get $5 back in RR to spend like cash next time you shop at Walgreens!

I was hesitant about trying their diapers, but I only had TWO diapers left and hadn't found a good deal lately, so I was desperate.  They are actually pretty good!  Although they do seem to run a bit small, so you may want to go up a size.

Affordable Food for the Family

I have been reading the discussions on here about how to save money on food and wanted to add to the conversation. Last year, my cousin told me about a service called Angel Food Ministries. The purpose of the service is to provide food to family for $30.00 a week. The way the program works is that you find a church near you offering the service (you don't have to belong to that church). You pre-buy your food for the next month either through the website or by contacting the church directly. When the food arrives, you have to go pick up the food. They also offer add on packages; for example, a variety of meats for cooking on the grill for $18, which seemed like a generous supply. The menus change from month to month and the add-ons also vary. The website is www.angelfoodministries.com if you are interested.

Has anyone ever heard of Cash Crate? It's where you register for free and then you earn money by shopping online, filling out surveys and for referring people? I've heard of Ebates and the My Points program but this site looks pretty cool too. It looks like you earn more money. It says you get paid on the 20th of each month as long as you have at least 10.00 earned. If you want to join here is the link:

Free Kiddie Pool

We recently bought one of those big round plastic pools for our back yard, but the baby likes to try to try diving in head first, so I just can't trust him to roam around the yard at all.  We had to upgrade to a small blow up pool that is tall enough so he can't climb in!

Anyway, I'll be happy to give away the plastic one to someone who will use it.  It's only been used a couple of weeks, so it's practically brand new.  You are responsible for picking it up.  It goes to the first person to respond to this message.  THANKS!!

Linens and Things ?

I've heard that Linens and Things have started their liquidation sale since they are closing in the next few months. I was just curious if anyone has been there recently and if they have any good deals?
I'm really sad about them leaving, I prefer them over Bed Bath & Beyond.
They have the best deal on bath towels there! They are super soft, big towels, and actually last after quite a few washings. They are only $5.99 and thats "regular price" so may even be cheaper now. :)
