A friend of mine is a SAHM and she/her husband received their stimulus check but money was only given/assigned to her husband and 2 kids. She did not receive the anticipated $600, for herself. She didn't know if because she's a SAHM/didn't work outside the home was the reason why she didn't receive anything. Anyone else a SAHM and didn't receive any stimulus $$$, specifically assigned to you?

Thanks for any input!
Patty

checks

It wasn't that they did give her any, it's that they gave the spouse $300 and her $300. There's a website that you can go to caluclate it and it will be accurate. The problem has been that what they reported in the news and what people are actually recieving is false. It said that married couples would recieve $1200.00 if they filed jointly and $300.00 for each child. Just not true.
It was a disappointment to us, but any money is nice to have.

Here is a website.  If they file jointly but make over $150,000, they would receive less than $1800 too.

Married couples are suppose

Married couples are suppose to get 1200. then 300 for each child. That is what we got and others I know. We got a letter in the mail about 4 days after we got our money saying why we got what we got. I am wondering... did you all shop the money away, save it or pay bills with it? The money was such a huge blessing to us, we paid medical bills off, bought new summer clothes for all of us and still have money.

not true

Like I said if you go to the calculator and input your info it should be correct. The news only gave a portion of the story. They made it sound like all married couples were to get $1200 and it's just not true. I have a friend who is an accountant and the same thing happened with his check. He checked into it, and the new did not report accurately.

We should all just be thankful for anything.

WE DID NOT GET ALL EITHER

Well, we did not get the whole 1200 expected for the adults either. We were a bit disappointed as what was reported and what we actually got. It has to do with total income and taxes. I was also told that this is suppose to be a rebate and not a refund, but later heard that it is just like an advancement for the 08 taxes filed in 09 so we will see.

Hmm... well we are hanging on to it for now--we did spend alot of our tax refund though to help with household bills.

something has to give as the gas prices are outragious. Put a little over six gallons of fuel in the truck last night and spent thirty buck. Gonna be staying close to home.

spending

Were going to get central air when we moved in we didn't have it so we have spent two summers without it I'm excited about it I know it's not a necessity but it will help out in the summer.

thanks for the info ladies!

including the IRS website/link! I told my friend about the link on IRS and she's going to the library to get online tomorrow to see what it says.

We saved our stimulus check. We're trying to get to our 3-6 months of living expenses/emergency money by the end of the year. We'll see!

Thanks again!
