Shopping?
My boyfriend and I are wanting to go spend the day away tomorrow. I want to go somewhere with a nice mall or good shopping. We thought about the outlets at Michigan City but we go there all the time we kind of want to go somewhere different. We also thought about going to Schaumburg, I've heard they have a really nice mall with good shopping. Does anyone else have any ideas of a little day get away thats not too far away?
Woodfield Mall Schaumburg
I love going to Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL. That is one of my favorite places. The mall is two levels expect in the middle were it is actually 3 levels. Then there are also other places in that area that have strip malls. Oh and one of my must stops is Ikea. I love that place. It is right around there also. You will be able to see it because it is a big blue and yellow building and all of the other buildings around it are brick. I sure wish I didn't have anything to do so I could go there and do some shopping. Have fun no matter where you go.

I was looking online at Woodfield Mall and I got super excited, there are tons of good stores there! My friend loves the Ikea and she also said right across the mall there is a really good strip center with really awesome stores! I think we are going to go to Schaumburg! :)
Shaumburg
I haven't been there in years, but I took a couple of bus trips and it was alot of fun. I remember the mall was huge, lots of good stores, and I know there is alot of shopping nearby outside of the mall. I've wanted to take a trip up there also, but it's going to have to be when we can find a sitter for the kids for the day! Have fun!!

Gurnee Mills
We take a bus trip every Nov to Gurnee Mills. It's kinda far, but can be done in a day if you don't mind driving home at night. We love Michigan City outlets and go a few times a year, Gurnee is so much bigger and inside too! Not all the stores are outlets, but a ton of them are.
Gurnee Mills is in the same general direction as Woodfield
If you aren't sure both Woodfield and Gurnee Mills are north of Chicago. It is probably not much more than 30 minutes to get to Gurnee Mills from Woodfield.
