Saying mama or dada
I was looking at the results of this week's poll on the homepage. I noticed some votes saying your babies learned to say mama or dada before 9 months! Wow! My little guy is 8 months, and he squeels and babbles alot, but I don't think he's even close to saying mama or dada yet (at least not because he meant to or knows what he is saying). I'm sure Luke didn't this early either. But I do remember working on getting him to say mama, and he said dada first.
So, when did your little ones first say it? Was it mama or dada?

Mama or Dada
Matthew said mama first but only recently said it to communicate with me! We have name calling sessions where he looks at me says mama-mama-mama and I'll say Matthew, Matthew, Matthew and it wil go on for several minutes. He has said dada to my husband (and a few other people) for about four months now. First said mama before three months and dada around five.
Momma
My little Makaylah said momma at 9 months and Novalee hasn't said anything yet they usually statistically say Dada first because they are already going dadadada just babbling I have read that.
Papa
My son Isaiah said papa at 6 months and said Mama at 9months... for 3months I repeat to him mama over and over. Now I did the same thing for thank you, please, animals names just repeating constantly.
baba
I JUST LOOKED IN BRAYDENS BABY BOOK AND IT SAYS HE SAID BABA AT 7 1/2 MONTH, DADA AT 9 MONTHS AND MAMA AT 9 1/2 MONTHS. HE IS A TALKER STILL. DOCTOR JUST SAID WHEN WE WENT FOR BAILEYS 1 MONTH CHECK UP HE TELLS STORIES LIKE A 6 YEAR WOULD. BAILEY IS 10 LBS!
