Description

This was comfort food for me growing up. Always requested for special dinners, and now one of my family's favorites as well!

Ingredients

  • 3 lb round steak
  • 2 cn campbells tomato soup
  • 2 T catalina salad dressing
  • 2 T yellow mustard
  • 2 t worchestire sauce
  • 3 c sliced onions

Instructions

I'm going to wing this a bit, since it's one of those family recipes that have been changed over time. Nothing written down, but super simple!
Mix all wet ingredients in a bowl, no particular order. Stir to combine well. Lay half the sliced onions in a large casserole or the bottom of a large crockpot. Place round steak on top and one half of the liquids. Place the rest of the onions on top and pour remainder of the sauce over. Cover tightly and baked for 3-4 hours at 325* or in the crockpot for 8hrs on high or 12 hours on low.

Notes

I serve this over mashed potatoes with green beans, but it's equally good over wide egg noodles.
