Does anyone have a recipe for the polish noodles that are typically served with a polish style meal? I have searched online and can only find recipes that include cabbage, and I just want to know exactly what to put in the kluski style noodles that are cooked in chicken broth. I don't want to actually make the noodles as I have frozen Reames noodles, just want to cook them with the chicken flavoring.

polish noodles

I make chicken and noodles every year for Thanksgiving. I buy a whole chicken and boil it in water for around 2 hours. (I turn the chicken over after an hour) You may need to add some water occasionally. After the chicken is cooked I take it out and let it cool. Once it is cooled I cut the chicken off in pieces. I add some chicken bouillon to the water that the chicken cooked in. Keep tasting till it's at your desired level. I like mine real salty, but not everyone likes that. Once the water is boiling add the kluski noodles. Once they have cooked add the chicken. I wait and add the chicken at the end so it doesn't get soggy.

Hope it turns out well.

Whole Chicken

I know the whole chicken adds a lot of flavoring because even if you skim off the fat, the broth is richer tasting than canned broth. So that is kind of what I was thinking, but wasn't sure if it was that simple. Does the noodles pretty much thicken the liquid then so it isn't too soupy? And do you put onions or anything as seasoning in with the chicken?

chicken base

If you use a base instead of boulion cubes you will get more of a chicken flavor that is typical in the polish noodles. Also most the time the noodles are cooked in the water and then never drained and thickened and flavored from the water they are boiled in. The starch from the noodles will help to thicken up the sauce.

YEP

ONE BAG OF (NEW)POLISH NOODLES. i THINK ITS IN A CLEAR BAG WITH BLUE STRIPS. I USUALLY GET THEM AT MEIJERS OR KROGERS.

ONE CAN OF CHICKEN BROOTH AND THEN FILL T HE CAN 3 TIMES OF WATER. LET THAT BOIL. ADD THREE TABLESPOONS OF BETTER THEN BOULION CHICKEN BASE (ONLY AT MEIJERS).
ADD IN YOUR NOODLES. COOK UNTIL TENDER

REMOVE FROM HEAT AND ADD ONE STICK OF REAL BUTTER. LET STAND 20 MINUTES......THERE YOU HAVE IT POLISH NOODLES. I WILL CHECK WITH MY MOTHER IN LAW ABOUT THE BRAND NAME...I NEVER PAY ATTENTION I JUST KNOW WHICH ONES TO BUY.
