Im now going to my ob almost every two weeks and im am getting razor burn terrible with as often as im shaving and cant seem to find a way to shave without getting it. and ya know when you have to go to the doc and it always on your mind! ahh! one more thing!''
thank goodness for other women to talk to cause my husband just doesnt understand! any suggestions.

Might sound painful but...

I myself only shave that area to get what nair misses there. The nair does a great job on the outer frontal areas. The closer you get to being too close for comfort with a razor is where I use the razor at. The nair will keep the hair at bay for at least 3 wks longer than shaving.

congrats on being so close to the end.

wax

Also painful, what about just having it waxed? Nothing more to worry about until a few weeks after the baby comes. Then you won't have to be so self conscious and you can forget about razor burn.
Anyone know, is it safe to wax while pregnant?

Also try an electric razor.  After my mom was in a bad car accident, she had a halo on her leg and we couldn't get her leg wet to shave it, so I would shave her legs with my dad's face razor, and it was about as good as using a real razor.  We used his Braun pivot head razor.  Women's electric shavers aren't that great, but the men's ones are fantastic!

shaving!

Well, I found the new venus's to be a nice treat! I actually just bought my oldest daughter one to start shaving with (oh they grow up to quick!)Anyways the 5 blade razorhead doesn't do any buring and leave you really smoothe for for about 3-4 days (and I use to shave daily--) I also use a light coat of baby oil after shaving it makes a nice finishing touch and seals in the moisture.

And the docs, I'm sure have seen worse that what your thinking!
Good luck with the labor!

YES!

I have to agree....the Venus razors are great!  Pricey, but worth it.  Actually, I have been using the same blade for 1 month and it's just starting to feel a bit dull.  I have also had good luck with less razor burn than I used to.

On a side note, I can't use shave gels or creams because I tend to break out, so I use hair conditioner, and it works great.  Plus it's cheaper.

no cuts either

I forgot to mention that I have not had a single cut either with using the Venus. That is why I bought it for my daughter. I always got out of the shower with at least one or two cuts. Now I can even shave over my mole and the venus doen't cut it.

I use dove soap and then the light coat of baby oil afterwards.

Ya, I have to agree the cost is sortta pricey, but I have been told that you can get generic name replacements cheeper now too. I also saw a venus throw away at walmart while shopping for my daughters razor. I am really impressed how the venus leaves your legs sooo smoothe! (I have thick coarse hair on my legs too). I would have to agree too on the length of time for the razor blade. I think I have gone through a blade every four to six weeks. Not too bad compaired to other blades.

Try this...

Find a mirror that has a suction thing on the back of it... put it in your bath-tub and sit in the bath tub and do it- also, use a GOOD shaving cream :) Hope it helps!
