Out of town
I have a 7 week old and I hate traveling!!! We had to go to Indy for 5 days for my sisters wedding. After packing up all his stuff and unloading it at my parents house I was exausted. Then trying to get him to sleep in a pack n play, changing his diaper on a couch, letting other people feed him the bottles I pump, random people wanting to hold him, I HATE IT! I was so happy to get home sunday, only to find our basement flooded! I hope the older he gets the easier it will get. Oh and I always forget something!! Just thought I would vent! If anyone else wants to, go for it!

venting!!
since we are venting...... i hate the trains! i grew up in area where to see a train was a treat. since i moved here (edwardsburg) in late june i am beyond sick of trains. they are 50 yards for my apartment and they are non- stop!!!! i honestly can say neither i nor my son have not slept through the night since we moved here. we just cant get used to them. ahhh, i cant wait to find a house and move from here far far away from the trains!
easier
:) It will get easier! Is he your first? We were somewhat "protective" of our first, by the 2nd child, we are thrilled when random strangers at a wedding wanted to hold him :) Not quite, but you know what I mean! A newborn is alot of work, period! When your little guy is 2 and everything you could need for an afternoon out will fit in your purse, it will get easier! We have a 15 month old and a 4 year old. When our first was a baby, we LOVED and enjoyed every minute of the baby stage. With our 2nd, we can't wait for him to get a bit older and easier, not that we don't enjoy him now, but we find that the baby stage seems to be more "work" than the first time around. We are ready for him to be old enough to "play" with our oldest, and we are ready to not have to work around nap schedules and not have to worry that we can't make it through dinner in a restaurant because of a meltdown, or panic because we just lost the only pacifier we brought with us, etc.

Venting
I just think about having another baby and wonder if it's a "good idea" or not. Our daughter is 3 1/2 and very easy to just pick up and go where we need to go, and when a baby comes it's a whole new life again, ya know? Not that they aren't a joy and blessing, but I guess it's just something you have to get used to. Diapers, feedings, multiple outfits...and the list goes on. One day I feel ready to tackle another child, and the next I am not so sure. Does/Did anyone else feel this way? Once I do get pregnant, there is no going back, and I know I will be totally happy....but it's getting to that point. Oh the joys of life, :)
keep wondering the same
keep wondering the same thing about having anoher one. he is stil real little and evderyone tells me it gets easier but it just all seems so har. I really think i am gonna try to get preg next summer and just keep them close together and get it over with lol!
Same Situation
I just got back from a week long vacation with my husbands family in new jersey. All the packing for the trip was horrible. Then she got off of her sleep routine because of all the activities and it was a hassle trying to do a million things with an 8 week old. being out of town for a wedding we didnt have a babysitter and we missed a few functions for the wedding party because you cant take infants into a bar! So it was a major hassle with her being soo young, but she had to go because the whole family was there! thank goodness for SUV's when traveling. She actually slept almost the whole 14 hours it took to get thre and back!
