My husband and I are considering moving to Osceola and I was wondering if anyone has children that have or are still attending Moran elementary? I just wanted to know how you like it as far as teachers and the overall performance of the school. I was also wondering what other schools the kids would have to attend if we moved there as far as middle schools and high schools.

Thanks

Moran Elementary

If you would like information on Moran, you can check out the PHM website that has information and ISTEP scores. This is the link:
http://www.phm.k12.in.us/schools/moran-elementary/about-moran-elementary
Moran feeds into Grissom Middle School and then Penn High School. You can check on these and other PHM schools on this website also.

You may want to check, but I think that Moran was one of the few schools in PHM that had ISTEP scores below state standards. You may have an option to choose an alternative PHM school to attend. You would just have to provide transporation. This does not mean that the school is not good and they are taking steps to improve the scores. This school has a lot of farm counties/rural areas that do not have the opportunity for early learning experiences which influences the test scores. It does not mean that they do not have wonderful teachers or a great school. Hopefully some parents who have children there can vouch to this.

Hope this helps!

Moran

We just move to Indiana and we are on the border of Osceola and Mishawaka and my youngest is going to Moran. I was wandering the same thing about the school. My youngest has a hard to with reading and did tutoring back in Ohio for it. I am hoping that the school has good programs. Now that starr3278 asked the question I am wondering myself.
