Hi All,
Has anyone out there ever signed up to do those online surveys for money? I found something online... you do online surveys and they send you a weekly check. This sounds WAY to good to be true to me, so I wonder if anyone has taken advantage of this or perhaps been taken advantage of?! Plus, what I found.. you have to pay $20 to sign up.
Is this a real way to make extra money? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Shelly

don't pay them!

I've always heard that there are legit companies out there where you can do things like this and make money, but you should never have to pay them registration/sign up fees!  Chances are, you pay them $20 and they rarely, if ever, send you surveys to fill out!

I do know of one website that is legit, and you don't pay a dime to start!  cashcrate.com  I signed up months ago, but haven't found the time to actually do surveys yet (although maybe I should start!).  I actually have a referal code: http://cashcrate.com/526134

You can click that and sign up, and I get credit for you signing up.  If you are really gung-ho about it, you can then refer people through you, build somewhat of a "team" and get paid even more based on your referrals too.  I have heard the company is great to work with also.  Hope this helps.

cashcrate

I actually decided to play with this a bit today myself.  I have $5.46 in my account just from filling out a few forms this afternoon.  What I've found is the easiest ones seem to be the ones that say "register" or "register and confirm."  I did one that paid a bit higher and said "fill out the survey"...I didn't think it would EVER end...not worth the $1.35!  I'll do the $.50 ones that only take 2 minutes :)

online surveys

I did pinecone for awhile. Its like 5 bucks per survey. At one point I was doing 2-5 surveys a week. It took about a week and a half for the check to come.

Mypoints.com pays you to do lil surveys or sign up for offers, some are free and you get points that you trade in for gift cards. I just got two panara bread cards. Another site that helps rack up points on mypoints.com is bzzagent.com.

In that one they give you things from companies and you try em out then "bzz" your friends etc. Its free you just work up levels by sending "bzz reports". From that Ive gotten in a lot of really good campains. Right now Im doing the teddy grahms trail mix, just got done with ziplock huge bags, have done storyville coffee and a sonicare toothbrush one..in the last year.

HTH...if you want a referal to bzzagent let me know :)

My Points

I REALLY like MyPoints! I just signed up earlier this week and I'm already up to over 700 points, and the stuff to earn points is really simple and doesn't seem like much "junk", some of the other sites I've noticed is a bunch of never ending surveys and such. I've noticed with Mypoints, if you open a bonus email from them you earn 5 points right away, also when you first log on, all you have to do is answer one question and get at least 5 points! It may seem small but they definatly add up :-) Hopefully the points don't burn a hole in my pocket, I'd like to see how many I can actually get :)

How many points do you need to redeem for something decent?
