Mother Warriors

I just finished Mother Warriors by Jenny Mc Carthy and I think this is a must read for all parents not just those with autism!! I was at Walmart and something just told me to buy the book and read it, don't know why but I did. Bekka has cerebral palsy and was born deaf so I'm always interested in learning more about special needs etc. All I can say is that this book opened my eyes to many things! Being in the medical field I was extremely Pro vaccines etc... I got our practice up to 99% immunized and the facts I've read in this book and have since researched made my cry many times. So many things that Bekka does I have always associated with cerebral palsy and I have now come to the terms that she more than likely is on the Spectrum disorder. I'm not sad but extremely happy because they're are soo many things out there that parents are doing to help their children recover, not a cure but helping them recover. Please do the research for yourself and don't rely on what the doctors are saying, follow your motherly instincts!! Ok I'm done rattling on but I just wanted to share this with everyone. Everyone has a right to feel the way they do and to do what they decide, I'm not saying anyone's wrong about their decisions. I'm just amazed at what I Haven't been told!
