Ok so with my first child I had morning sickness morning, noon, and night everyday through my entire pregnancy. Nothing I did helped, I tried Ginger, crackers, soda, I couldn't keep anything down not even water. It was so bad I lost 8 lbs my first trimester. Now with this one I thought I was going to get lucky up until yesterday. I haven't thrown up but I almost think I would feel better if I could it's been constant nausea for about 48 hours now. Anyone else experiance this, any suggestions on how to curb it, asking for a cure would be a little silly but with my job and position I really can't afford to run to the restroom every 10 minutes. I have heard of Preggo Pops but for not knowing if they truly work I feel pretty silly spending $7 on 4 suckers and not to mention I can only find them online so I'd have to wait for them to be shipped. My sister was given a pill for her morning sickness but my doctor even knowing how severe mine was never even mentioned it.

B6

I was the same way with my last pregnancy. I was sick all day and night. My doctor told me to take vitamin B6 25-50mg twice a day. He also told me I could take Unisome with it. I personally didnt want to take a sleeping pill while i was pregnant and I had to work. I tried 25mg twice a day and it worked wonders. After about 2 days I felt normal again. You might want to try that.

I feel yah!

I had morning sickness with this one and not my first. I ate a lot of saltines and apples. There's something in the apple that is supposed to settle your stomach. It always seemed to work for me. I do know however, that there is a nasty stomach bug going around right now. I hope you don't have that. I also drank Smart Water. It's like drinking Gatorade or Powerade, but it doesn't have that sweetness which can make you feel worse. Good Luck!

B6 & F-TAN

My Dr. also told me to take vitamin B6.  With my first pregnancy it didn't help at all (I also had morning sickness constantly!), and it gave me so much energy with my 2nd baby it was almost scary, so I didn't take it very often.  It's bad, I know, but plain potato chips helped curb the nausea with my second.  With my first, I was so sick they finally put me on F-TAN at 5 months because I had only gained a couple of pounds.  But they wouldn't even consider the medication until I was WELL into my second trimester.

I have seen Preggo Pops at Burlington Coat Factory back at the baby registry desk, but that was awhile ago, and I believe they were over $1 each.

FTAN

I was on FTAN with both pregnancies since I lost about 10 lbs in the first 3 months. It is so great and so amazing. I tried to ween myself off and was sick for another 2 days (at 7 months along). It is available at Mar-Main pharmacy. I highly recommend it!

FTAN

Do you need a prescription for ftan or is it over the counter? I am pregnant with my fourth and am really struggling. I was always sick first thing in the morning with the others, but this time I am sick all day, especially in the late afternoon and evenings. Maybe I will try the B6, I could use some more energy too.

ftan

It is only available with prescription, and like someone else mentioned, you can get it at Mar-Main Pharmacy downtown South Bend.

Melissa, congrats on #4!  I had no idea you were expecting again!  How far along are you?

Baby #4

I talked with the nurse today about getting a prescription, I see the doctor this Thursday so I will get it then. I am actually not sure how far yet, I think somewhere between 6-8 weeks. We were just starting to talk about possibly trying this fall and here we are again. It was a little shocking, but atleast the decision to have one more is made. And we are sure this will be the last, I always wanted an even number. Now everyone has a buddy to ride with at Disney...ha ha

F-TAN/ apples

I also used F-TAN for a little while with my first after throwing up pretty much everything and anything I tried to eat...boy was that a long 4 months. Anyway, I believe it's only available at Mar-Main at only by Rx.

With my other 2 kids, I had more nausea and eating apples really helped curb it.

I've seen Preggo Pops at Motherhood Maternity UP mall...don't know if they workthough!
