I will be happy to plan another MNO, but I can't (on a weekend anyway), until Aug. 9th. During the week, I can't this week or next.
If everyone else is available before then and wants to take over planning, feel free to! I'll do what I can to help promote MNO whenever anyone decides on something :)

I was not able to attend the last one either due to my hubby not coming home since he was playing golf. Brave soul that he is, but I would love to do a night out. Lord knows that I need one.
We could do dinner, but what about going bowling after, or going early enough and going to Pottery Schmottery, etc. I love going out to dinner, but I hate that as soon as it's over, I have to go home. I don't drink, but maybe could find someplace for coffee and a yummy dessert. Any suggestions would be great. I am up for a night.

Pottery Schomettery??
I feel silly asking this but that is that a "real place", here locally?? Is it where you can go and paint your own pottery?? I was watching Jon & Kate plus 8 Monday night and Kate took the girls to this pottery place and they looked like they had sooo much fun. I would LOVE to do this and was hoping there was something like that here locally...

It is a real place and it is so much fun. I have gone with some of my friends and we had a great time. It is in Elkhart so if we decide to go, we should try to car pool. They have tons of pieces to choose from and tons of paint. You paint it and then you go pick it up like a week later. When we did it, one of us went to pick up everyones and we just gave a couple of $ for the gas money. If we get enough interest I will call and get all the info. I think that they even have a website.

It goes by the piece that you pick out and then there is a firing fee. I think I paid $15.00 for a big mug. It may not have been that expensive. They have things that are on the low end of the scale and then they have some that are really expensive. I love my mug.
I went to their website and found that on Thursdays and Fridays they are open until 8 and the rest of the week they close at 6. They are closed on Sunday and Monday. It can take a while to do a piece if you are really crafty, I am not, but it is a ton of fun. When we go, we go out to dinner after somewhere in the area.

Pottery Schmottery
I love Pottery Schmottery! I'm going today to pick up pieces I painted last week. I go there with my daughter (7) and we have a blast. They have a wide variety of prices. My DD usually paints magnets or little figurines ($3 - $6), and last week I painted a tile with her handprint on it ($16). The pieces that Kate picked on J & K plus 8 were pretty pricey though. Like that big bowl was $60!! Not sure how they can afford that. I'm sure they got freebies...good publicity for the store.
It would be great for a MNO. Count me in!
p.s. there is a new Mexican restaurant in the same shopping complex. When I was there last week there were lots of cars in the parking lot (good sign).
