I am Christmas shopping for my son (3 almost 4) and not sure witch one of the Leapster Learning Game System (Ages 4 to 10 Years) OR they have Leapster®2 Learning System (Ages 4 to 8 Years) would be better for him… and they have so many games out that not sure the ones that are really worth to have- anyone have those games? Are they really good? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance : )

Luke got the regular Leapster last year for Christmas when he was 4 1/2. He loves it!!! I was hoping to get the newer Leapster 2 model, but I got a deal on the regular one that I just couldn't pass up. Games - Luke has Spongebob, Number Raiders, Creature Creator, Scooby Doo, Get Puzzled, Backyardigans. He tells me he likes them all, and none of them are boring. And really when he plays it, he is always playing a variety of games...he doesn't just stick to one of them. Like any other video games, we monitor how much time he spends playing it, but it is educational, and I like that. On multiple occasions Luke tells me something, and I ask where he learned it from and he says his Leapster. I would also recommend getting the little backpack to carry all the games in, and either buy stock in Duracell or pay $9.99 and get the adapter or $30 for the charging station!! We have the little carrying case, but I wish I would have spent more on the bigger case...the smaller one just holds the game system and a few games, and the adapter cord is always somewhere else! Overall, it was money well spent for us.
