Kid's party games
Submitted by jessica on May 18, 2008 - 10:55pm.
My oldest turns 4 in July, and I need ideas for activities for the kids during the party. I'm not sure if organized games is up my alley, but rather fun activities to keep everyone entertained on their own. Any ideas?

Theme???
Are you going to have some kind of theme? I always have an easier time deciding activities when I've chosen a theme . . . just curious! :)

Idea
Just a couple ideas that work in my family. You could set up stations where the kids can do different things. It could be things like making their prize bags for when they go home, an obstacle course (if your yard is big enough), etc. Ask your son what kind of things he wants at his party. Also, kids always seem to love a pinata. I hope these ideas help!
Party
My son is also turning 4 in July and we were thinking about renting a moon walk or maybe a water slide or something
Moon walk
We actually have a Little Tikes bouncer in the basement, so I could put it out in the back yard too. Good idea! I wonder how much it would be to rent one of the big waterslides though? Hmmm....that's a fun thought :)

There is a website for renting it's www.houseofbouncemichiana.com they have a couple of fun activities you can rent there.
Fun :-)
How about a water balloon toss? Someone else mentioned a pinanta, kids always love those and I bet you could find a neat spiderman one :-)
spiderman rocks
we have two summer birthdays so we're outside as much as we can. We've made bowling pins from pringles cans and set up masking tape lanes and let them go at it. we have also bought four tiny blowup pools and put small snakes, frogs and rings, etc. in each one as a scavenger hunt type of fun. plus it's usually hot and gross so everyone gets really wet. since it's spiderman you could precut contact paper windows letting each child cut rectangle and squares for a cityscape of spiderman then put stickers of spiderman all round the city (with goblin, or doc ock of course). we've had zillions of parties with fun noncompetitive silly games. pm me for details to some if you want. and we always make our own cake and let the birthday person insert candles. that's a game in itself. i'll send you a pix of the last spidey cake i made. it was cool. my spidey senses are already tingling. hee hee hee Lynn
birthday ideas
I was just going through some old posts about birthday ideas and found this one. I am interested in some ideas for games for three year old for a my little pony themed birthday party.
Any ideas??
Thanks

Use three cowboy hats upside
Use three cowboy hats upside down and throw baby blocks into them and try to score. Pin the tail on the horse is fun too. take a picture of his fav. horse and blow it up poster size (or draw it on) then cut out sticky foam tails-bandana the player and lead them to the poster. The old reliable games are most fun. If it's outside or you have a long space- have galloping races where everyone wins a 'haystack' cookie. pm me if you have questions. Lynn
