Is it too much to ask?
This is just a vent....is it too much to ask for a few minutes so I can get something done?? I took the kids to SB Cafe this morning for 1 1/2 hours, and Luke ran and played hard. With that, I decided not to feel guilty for turning a cartoon on for him for 1 hour so I could get some work done. He won't sit still, he's jumping around, toys are everywhere, and he's talking me ear off! Ok, fine, I can still get stuff done, just not anything that I have to concentrate on. :) The baby slept for ONE hour, and as soon as I sat my butt on the couch, he starts screaming! I got dinner together, made 1 phone call and loaded the dishwasher, and it looks like that's the extent of what I'm going to get done this afternoon. ARG! Oh well, at least dinner is already made, so we'll eat really early, and I'll send the boys to the playroom for an hour tonight :) Maybe I'll even leave the house and work for an hour...better yet! :)

It gets better. My kids are 13,11, and 9. Now I am dealing with a teenager and her stuff, a 9 year old who won't cut the umbilical cord, and an 11 year old hermit. But it does get better. None of my kids napped past the age of 2. I tried, but they would not sleep. Now they sleep and I can't get them to wake up for school.
For the toys, rotate them. By that I mean put some in a laundry basket or box and put them in a closet. This gets rid of half. Let them play with the rest. When they are tired of those, bring the other ones out. I know how you feel about no time. I had 3 kids all about 2 years apart and had 3C sections. Now I am trying to juggle housework and my business. Even though I work at home, I tend to neglect the housework so I can grow my business. Hang in there, it will get better!
