We were at Hacienda several months ago (more than 6 because I was still pregnant), but we were paying the bill and my husband said he had cash that we could leave for her tip. We signed the credit card charge, and put 0 for the tip, since we were leaving cash. Well, hubby was wrong, NO CASH in his wallet. So I go digging through my purse looking for loose dollars or quarters. We must have been drawing attention to ourselves because this guy waiting for his table came over and threw money on the table to "help us out." We were so embarrased...I did end up finding plenty of cash in my purse, so the waitress ended up getting a big tip. He was really nice and we all had a good laugh! Actually, we did end up doing someone else a favor not too long after that, remembering what that guy did for us, but I can't even remember what it was.
