Who went
shopping today, what's the best deal you found and where, and was
it worth getting up early for? I always here about women getting in fights over toys and stuff, so anyone have any funny stories?

Went to a couple
I made it out to Radio Shack as I thought that I might. We really needed new cordless phones and our answering machine has been screwy, too, so we picked up their 5.8gHz cordless phone w/ answering machine, caller id, and an extra handset for $19.99, and a battery operated soldering iron for $5.
Problem
Then, I made it over to K-Mart to get their big box of Huggies diapers on sale for $19.99, but in the ad it said that if you purchase the diapers you get $10 off of a toy through a manufacturer's in-store coupon, plus I had a coupon for $5 off of a big box of Huggies. Anyway, I figured that in order to get the coupon for the $10 off of a toy I would need to buy the diapers and a coupon would print up...WRONG!!!! After standing in line to check out for 45 minutes, I bought the diapers and asked about the coupon. They said that in order to get the $10 off I would have to buy a toy with the diapers and it would take the money off and if I wanted to do that I would have to go to customer service(the line was just as long as the checkout), get a refund on the diapers then go back through the checkout lane(another 45 minutes) with the diapers and a toy, but I couldn't get my $5 off coupon back!!!! I'm thinking of calling to complain. I mean, if the ad would have said, "purchase the diapers and a toy and receive $10 off" that would have been perfectly clear, but it certainly did not say that!!! What do you think? Should I complain????
CVS & Walgreens
I made it to my personal faves, CVS and Walgreens. I only bought the sale Twizzlers, Hershey Bars, and Reese's cups, but it was still a good deal.
Then I went to CVS and got most of their "FREE" after ExtraCare bucks items. Anyway, with using 2-$3 off of $15 purchase coupons and tons of manufacturer's coupons I managed to get over $60 worth of stuff for $11.
You can try
I have had some ridiculous store experiences and have tried to be nice and politely point out the problem with the situation and I have tried the annoyed attitude, but nothing ever comes of it. I have had customer service people refer me to the manager or I have asked for the manager and all I get is "I am sorry for your inconvenience". It certainly doesn't feel that way when they have wasted my time. I guess if they were a price you pay normally anyway, I wouldn't waste anymore time other than maybe an email and see if that gets anywhere. If you wouldn't have paid that, I would take it back next time and get a refund.
I stayed home
AND got everything on my list! My in-laws were both already going to WalMart and Sears, so I gave them my list. My sister-in-law was going to Toys 'R Us, so I gave her my list. My husband was awake early and couldn't go back to sleep, so he went to Staples. I slept till 7:30 am and still got my shopping done! My husband had to work, so it really wouldn't have been worth me getting up, waiting in lines and rushing to get home in time for him to make it to work.
We got some PJs for the boys, a digital camera and a digital photo frame, Hot Wheels, a couple of games and LeapFrog fridge magnets.
