How do I register?
On any page, click on the 'register' link above the search box on the top right side of our web page. You will be taken to a registration form where you can enter your login information. Your username, along with a temporary password will be emailed you. You will be asked to change your password immediatley after you login for the first time.
I registered, but I did not receive an email with my registration information.
There are times when our automated registration emails are blocked. Please send an email to admin@MichianaMoms.com if this should happen. We will reset your password and email it to you. Please be sure to email us from the account you used on the registration form.
How do I change my password or other information in my profile?
Click on 'My Account' on top of any page. This will take you to your profile. Click on the 'edit' tab. Depending on what information you want updated, choose either 'Account Settings' or 'Personal Information.' Use 'Account Settings' to update your password.
How do I change my avatar?
To change you avatar, click on the 'Your Account' link above the search box on the top right portion on any page. When you see your account information, click the 'edit' tab. Scroll down to the 'picture' section. From there, you have one of two options. You can either upload your own picture, or you may select one of the avatars listed. To select an avatar, just click on the picuture. The box around the avatar will turn to red. When you have selected your avatar, scroll down to the bottom and click on the 'submit' button. That's it!
Can others see my personal information?
No! Personal information such as your name, email address and mailing address is kept private and is not shared with ANYONE. This private information will never be shared with a third party. Your city, state and 'about me' information is shared on the profile pages.
How do I update my personal information?
Click on 'My Account' on top of any page. This will take you to your profile. Click on the 'edit' tab. Choose 'Personal Information.' Here, you may update items such as your name, address and 'about me' information.
Is the environment safe on MichianaMoms.com?
We do everything in our power to ensure MichianaMoms.com is a safe and friendly place to share ideas and experiences. At the same time, please use caution when sharing personal information. You should also use caution with the amount of information you share about your children.
I've been verbally attacked or threatened, what should I do?
Immediately contact Jessica via private message or email admin@MichianaMoms.com. Personal attacks on this website will not be tolerated and will be handled promptly.
What happens when a forum topic or comment has been flagged?
A notification is sent to the administrators if site content has been flagged. The flagged content will be reviewed and at which time a decision will be made to un-flag it or delete it. Remember, not all flagged content will be deleted if it has been determined to be appropriate for the MichianaMoms.com community.
How do I start a new topic?
On the top menu bar, hover on the ‘Mom Talk” menu item. You will see discussion topics on the drop down menu. Click on any of these topics. If you are not logged in, you will be asked to login or register before you can start a new discussion. If you are already logged in, you will notice a link to ‘Start a new discussion.’
How do I comment on a topic?
If you are not logged in, you will be asked to log in or register.
Choose the appropriate link. If you are logged in, you will see a link
to ‘reply.’ Use that link to reply to any discussion topic or comment.
Can I delete a post a created?
Yes. If you started the discussion, you can delete it at any time. To do so, log in and go to the discussion topic you created. Click on the ‘edit’ tab near the top of your post. From there, you will see a ‘delete’ button at the bottom of your post.
On the home page, I see a block in the right column called ‘Top Contributing Moms.’ What is that?
The ‘Top Contributing Moms’ column is a list of moms who have gained ‘brownie’ points by participating on MichianaMoms.com. Brownie points are earned by doing the following:
Creating a discussion topic: 5 brownie points
Commenting on a discussion topic: 5 brownie points
Submitting a recipe: 7 brownie points
Inviting new users: 5 browie points
Points awarded to inviter when invitee registers: 10 brownie points

Use the MichianaMoms.com free classifieds to advertise this service. Please let your potential clients know to contact you via private message.
Where can garage sales, yards sales or community sales events be posted?
You must post this information in the MichianaMoms.com free classifieds. Any sale information posted as a discussion will be deleted.
I am a member of a local moms group/support group and would like to share information about my group with Michiana Moms. Where should I post this information?
