I live right next to the Kennedy Waterpark I can look out of my window and see it but its always packed. We also have 4 kids and paying for each child plus ourselves really adds up. Where do you go for budget friendly water fun? Our kids and my waterbill is getting tired of the sprinklers lol

Splash Pads

There are several splash pads located throughout the city which are great fun for kids of all ages (and FREE). If you go to both cities websites their locations are listed. Elkhart also has some. My kids enjoy going to the beach in New Buffalo because it isn't a super long walk to the water. Hope this helps!

List?

I tried going to the south bend city website and parks & recreation websites and could not find anything. Do you happen to know what area to look under? Thanks :)

I know there was a list at

I know there was a list at one time but I went to look and couldn't find it either. I know there is a new one at O'Brien and I heard there is one at Bellville. In Mishawaka, there is one at Rose Park, Merrifield, and Twin Branch. My only suggestion would be to try and call the parks dept. to get the full list.

tHIS IS link to mishawakas list of parks. If you click on one of them it tells you what they have.
I was unable to find something for South Bend. I do know there is a new splash pad Michigan st right across from KFC , cross roads are Irland rd and michigan st/31n.
I would also like to know where they are. It seems there are more in the mishawaka area.
Sorry I was not much help

I was actually just talking

I was actually just talking to someone today about the splash pads. My brother said the one at twin branch is the best. I would love to know if there is one in south bend too.

The splash pad at O'brien

The splash pad at O'brien Center is the one on Ireland & Michigan across from KFC :) But I have only heard there was others. The one in front of the O'brien Center is such a small area and with my 4 kids alone I feel like it would be too crowded :( I just seen a commercial today about a waterpark in Merrillville no idea about cost or anything. I thought there was a place in Elkhart but I've searched online and cant find it.

Elkhart

McNaughton Spray Park in Elkhart is nice. I take my kids there all the time. There is also Pierre Moran pool in Elkhart which I've discovered is pretty nice now that it is all remodeled. Just go to Elkhart parks and recreation and it tells you all the fun activities here

Twyckenham Hills

They Twyckenham Hills club/pool offers 1/2 priced membership after July 15th. I believe it ends up being $125.

water park and beach idea

There is a waterpark in Merrillvile called Deep River, it's not cheap but if you go after 2 pm the admission is reduced and it is a lot of fun with huge wave pool, lazy river, lots of slides, 3 different children's areas, concession area. You can take in your own cooler/food. Our favorite beach is West Beach in Portgage. Small fee to park, medium walk along path to beach, full concession area, restrooms, lifeguards in summer.
