I'm so proud of myself this year...we are about 90% done Christmas shopping!  We need to buy a couple of things for my nephews and my parents, plus stocking stuffers for the kids.  Even though we seem ahead of the game this year, I'm sure we will still be scrambling Dec. 23rd!  Anyway, for those of you who are still shopping, have you found that unless you shop early, you don't get what you want??  After we thought we were done buying toys, my son decided this past week that he wants a Spiderman Truck from Target.  We've been at Target 20 times lately, and they always had a ton of them.  He hasn't let up on the idea of the truck, so we decided to buy it for him.  My husband looked all over town yesterday and finally found ONE left somewhere!  Our oldest is only 3, so we haven't had the experience yet of trying to find the "hottest" Christmas items each year.  He's never known the difference, but this year he is old enough to understand and ask for what he wants.  Last year while shopping mid-Dec., we realized we would have to shop early if we wanted a descent selection.  Luckily we started early this year and have all the bigger items we need.  Anyone wondering if you will be able to find the perfect gift this year?  Do you find that you can't find a good selection unless you finish your shopping in November??

shopping

I went shopping the day after thanksgiving and got so much stuff. I forgot my list of everyone we needed to buy for. I had to go home twice to empty my SUV between myself and my mom. I thought forsure I had to get most of my shopping done, but once I got home and went through the bags I got so much stuff just for home and for us or my son or baby stuff. I still have more people to buy for, luckly all but two will be gift cards so it makes it easy for me. Plus I have to do stockings for us. Good thing most are gift card, I can just send my husband to go get that.

This year we really didn’t have any hot item I need to get. My husband wants to get the Wii to play with our son but I said after Christmas once the rush is done. My son isnt asking for it or anything. Last year though we got the TMX Elmo and the fisher price Digital Camera, those were so hard to get. I have learned not to wait for the hot items to on sale.

Camera

Do you like the Fisher Price camera?  I bought the Little Tikes on this year, but it didn't very good reviews.  It's regular $50, but with the sale and my coupon, I got it for like $18 at Kohls, so I figured it was worth keeping.  But I do hope it's a descent one.  What is the Fisher Price one like?

camera

I like it and he likes it too. I put alittle memory card in it and the pictures arent that good when you look at the camera screen but when I download them on the computer they turn out really nice. It goes through a lot of batteries. My son learned how to delete the pictures so now even if he takes good pictures he deletes right away... haha

display

I read reviews that said the pic # takes up most of the display screen.  But I read that the quality of the pics and durability of the product are ok.  For $18, we will keep it.  My son got this teeny little camera, literally like 1 inch big, and you click the button and the pics inside rotate.  It's so small you can barely see it.  It's one of those little trinket toys you would use your tickets at ChuckECheese for (that is, if some kid doesn't come up and try to steal it!).  Anyway, he gets that tiny little camera out and says "say cheese", so I think he will enjoy having his own REAL camera!

I am sure he will enjoy it. That age doesnt really care what the brand name is, they just have fun with whatever. I love buying for my son he is at that fun age where he gets so excited about everything.....
