The current poll got me thinking, what's most important in a grocery store?  Prices, convenience, other?

I like Martin's, I like that there are rarely lines to wait in, I like that they have great customer service, however, I don't think they have a great selection, I've never been impressed with their produce, and I think their prices are higher than elsewhere.  But if I go to Meijer or Kroger, I will for sure wait in line forever, no one is ever around to help, but I will walk away paying much less!  I think Meijer and Kroger have a better selection also.  I don't shop at one store...I shop at all 3 about the same amount...just depends on what I need or what other errands I have to run or if something good is on sale.

What's important to you?  Will you pay for convenience?

value vs. convenience

We generally shop for value not convenience, unless we need something and are going to buy it no matter what. We tend to shop at wal mart, krogers, meijers and martins. We have been shopping more for sale items and will pick up things at each store that is cheeper than the other at the time. We also find it better to let one adult do the shopping without any of the three children with them, that way we can do the sale circular shopping and pay attention to prices and avoid impluse buying.
This way we get the best deal and save the most.

BOTH

WE SHOP AT BOTH MEIJERS AND KROGERS. I DONT CARE FOR MEIJERS MEAT BUT I DONT LIKE KROGERS PRODUCE. I GO TO KROGERS ONCE A MONTH (I GROCERY SHOP EVERY WEEKEND) AND BUY A BUNCH OF MEAT FOR THE FREEZER AND THEN THE OTHER WEEKS I GO TO MEIJERS. MY SON LOVES FRESH FRUIT AND WE GO THROUGH A LOT IN A WEEK SO I GO THERE BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE THE QUALITY IS BETTER AND ITS CHEAPER. I DO GO TO MARTIN (IN THE SUMMER) WHEN WE GRILL ALOT BECAUSE THERE SEASON HAMBURGERS ARE THE BEST...

Price

I only buy the most cheapest things possible and pretty good at it.

Price

I usually go to Kroger since their specials are usually decent and since they double coupons it's even better. Meijer's produce is better than Kroger's and usually a much better value, so I'll sometimes stop by there just for produce and a couple of sale items since they double coupons also. I'll only go to Martin's if they are having a REALLY good sale. Then there's Aldi, which I will get a few things from about once every month or two that I know are a good bargain. And last but not least is CVS, my bargain favorite, but I obviously can't get a huge variety there.
