For those of you out there that use CVS often, how do you work a second card? Can I get one under my husband's name and the same address? How do you keep track of which one to use? What are the advantages/disadvantages of having a second card? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

I have 2 cards

You can have 2 cards, just use your husband's name (although HE may have to be present to get it?, or you could just order it online and wait 2 weeks for it), and you can use the same address.  Just remember, your ECBs have to match your card!  You can't use ECBs from card #321 to pay for purchases where you scanned card #123.  For me, it does take a little extra planning to make sure I have my ECBs straight and to make sure I'm watching my limits for 2 cards.

The advantages - obviously more free stuff and more ECBs :)

Here's how I do it: I use my own card the most.  It's the one I use to keep rolling over my ECBs to score all the freebies (or close to free).  I usually try to keep $30 - $40 in ECBs that I can roll over into more savings for that month (since they are only good for 1 month).  My second card (my husbands), I only use if I can actually find enough of the "free after ECBs" stuff.  I'll get my limit, then use those ECBs to buy toilet paper, milk, diapers or other household stuff I didn't worked into my other deals.  For my second card, I usually spend them once I have $30 or so.  I also used it to buy Easter candy and basket filler items, so it didn't come out of our monthly budget.  I also use it to buy any "extras" like pop or chips....things we like, but I hate to spend $ on.  My mom is coming to visit from FL next week, and I wanted to put a quick mini scrapbook together for her, and I bought a 5x7 album for her this morning and used my ECBs from my 2nd card.

I've actually found that my 2nd card has come in really handy to buy the extras :)
