So I'm on the Budget plan with NIPSCO. Of course when I got the new amount that I have to pay EACH month, it had gone up. I now pay $98 per month, every month beginning July. It was $85 each month, for the past 12 months.

Just curious, how much do you all spend per month or per year on heating your home? Gas prices in general are driving me nuts!

During the summer is the best time it's only about 20 bucks but winter kills its almost been up to 400 but we did just put in a new furnace so hopefully that helps this coming winter

We also pay the budget, and we pay $77 a month.  However, our water heater is electric, and we pay $92 a month for electric.

Oh Yes the Gas Bills

We know how you feel! When we lived in Ohio the gas was SO HIGH. Now we live in a place that doesn't do gas but all electric. I hope it's better this year cost wise.

we burn wood

We have an outdoor wood burner, however we ran out in february this year and had to call for propane... OUch we figured when it is cold and we do not burn wood it cost us $24 a day in propane.... after that fill we burnt everything we could... we also have aep for electric and our bill said they were trying to raise our rates by 20% but had to go through the government to do so i guess... so wow we could all be in for a tough year!

Zero

Our gas bill is $0! Okay, we live in an apartment complex that pays for our gas. As much as I'm ready to get out and get a house I think how nice it is to get free gas, especially in the winter we can keep it as cozy as we'd like :-)
