Christmas Cards

I always have great intentions of getting my cards out early, but I end up just squeaking them into the mail on the 23rd every year! We send out over 100, but I have the addresses in my computer and print out labels to make it easier. The last few years we've just had photo cards made. I've always wanted to make my cards myself, but usually by December I get realistic and realize that's not going to happen. Sam's is a great place to get photo cards made . . . we got 125 madet this year and I'm thinking it was only about $25. (Can't remember exactly) Now I just have to get them mailed out!!!

I LOVE to send Christmas cards and receive them. It seems like a lot of people don't send them anymoe:( I started doing the photo cards 2 years ago. Last year I printed them at Walmart for pretty cheap. This year I was feeling goofy so I went to elfyourself.com and uploaded our faces to elf bodies and used that pic for our Christmas cards; it looks hilarious! I figured we all needed some humor in our family this season; it has been a tough year for many in our family.

I just think cards are a nice way to let people know you are thinking of them this time of year. I typically send out 20-30 to family and close friends.

I have made my own in the past, but for the last few years I've gone the photo card route. Sam's does have the best deal. I usually send between 40-50, but this year I have cut my list down some. We're having a family photo taken Sat. and with the package I'm ordering, I will have plenty of wallets, so I'm thinking of sending those with homemade cards this year.

I do send out Xmas cards. I buy them normally from the dollar store. I normally have about 50 people on my list to send too. Its a pretty good deal at the dollar store and they are cute.
