Chicago Tribune
Does anyone get the Chicago Tribune? Have you been getting your ads or coupons? The first one or two weeks we subscribed, the coupons and ads were unbelievable! Tons more coupons than the South BendTribune, and even WalMart had an ad! The past 3 or 4 weeks, our paper is coming with no ads and no coupons. I keep calling, they offer to credit me for the week, but so far their customer service is LAME! They keep telling me they will look into it, they will call me back, we get this resolved, and so on. So Far, nothing! I'm still not getting ads or coupons. Today, I'm told that "it isn't them, it depends on what ad their advertisers choose to include for our area." I'm sure it's a load of crap because I can't imagine Meijer or CVS or othes just decided to stop offering ads in our area!
I'm so irritated! I have mentioned on here how great the ads and coupons were, and I'm hoping others who took my advice aren't having this problem! I can't get ahold of anyone on Sundays, so when I call on Monday, they "can't guarantee there are any Sunday papers left" So for the last 2 weeks, I have no ads and no coupons...it's kiilling me! It's now Monday, so Sunday papers aren't available at the store anymore!
Anyone subscribe to the Chicago Tribune? What has your exerience been, in regard to the ads and coupons being included?

Last week was Easter, so no coupons :(, but there should have been some yesterday. Although the SB Trib ones were pretty slim, I only cut about 8 coupons out of the two inserts. Here is the schedule for the major coupon insert publishers.

Yesterday
Yesterday I did get the RedPlum coupons, but no SS or V! The first Sunday paper of the Chicago Trib I got, we also got a SB Trib to compare. There were 3 times as many coupons, and ones I would actually use! So wonder how I got RP coupons yesterday, but no SS or V...ARG! My in-laws don't use their coupons, so I guess I'll have to swipe them.
Oh, and I guess I did have a Target ad in yesterdays paper, but that's it! I can't imagine Target was the only one who decided to put out an ad yesterday. Chicago Trib says it's "their advertisers" but I don't buy it!

I definitely got two inserts from SB Trib
RedPlum is actually Valassis, so I got RedPlum and SmartSource in SB Tribune. When you see the V on the schedule it is RedPlum, Valassis just changed their coupon publication to RedPlum on January 3 this year.
Yesterdays store ads were back to normal in my paper, but last week on Easter they were hardly there. I don't know why Target wouldn't have a sale Easter week even if they closed on Easter.

I don't know for sure but Indianapolis has more and often different ones from our market. I was told the size of the buying market has a huge role in what and how many coupons are printed. sometimes we don't get any either, but my sister mails them from indy every few weeks. I never got pamper coupons from the sb tribune and she got them all the time. now I don't need them, figures.

I feel so bad for talking about how great it was! Really the first 2 weeks were great, then 1 bad week and I didn't think too much of it. I've spent 30 minutes on the phone with these people the last 3 or 4 Mondays! I'll let you know what I find out. My problem was AGAIN issued as "high priority" (as it was last week), and someone is supposed to call me by Wednesday. Make sure you call them, they have given me credit for the days my paper isn't right, and the madder the tone of my voice gets, they've started giving me free weeks of the paper, haha! Not that I want the free weeks if there are no coupons, which I nicely told them! ARG!
