carry in lunches at work

So today is our end of month at work and we are starting a carry in lunch every month end. Everyone brings something in the accounting department. Today was the first day. It went great. My only concern is that I dont want to bring the same things every month. Today I brought cucumber sandwiches and everyone loved them. Any idea on some other quick, not to expensive , but good recipes. I have recipes at home but after working here for 3 years we have had carry ins every once in a while. I think I have brought all my favorite things in. I dont like to go buy something, I would rather make it. On and we have this heath work shops once a month as well where you have to bring a health food item to share so thats twice a month now I have to make something different and bring it in. SInce its at work it has to be something that can be prepared the night or morning before or thats quick enough that it can finished at work. We do have a whole kitchen, I dont want to spend a long time prepping. I was think a taco ring for next month....all recipes would help...thanks everyone.

We do a big carry in once a month for all of the birthday girls in the office so I'm kind of "experienced" in this, hehe :) My favorite thing to make is Beer Cheese (which I have listed in the recipe section of this website) and I know another Michiana Mom posted a Chicken Dip recipe which is REALLY good and SUPER easy to make. Even though I know those are more "snack" items...Someone also had posted an excellent Polish noodles recipe on here and I've brought those to work and they are gone soooo fast! Or how about meatballs in the crock-pot? Or those miniature hot dogs with bbq sauce. Or chicken/tuna salad? Taco salad is always a hit at our office as well. Sometimes a few of us ladies will all get together to bring salad stuff, one girl will bring the lettuce while another brings salad dressings and another veggies, etc...Now with the weather getting colder, soup is always nice on cold days too. Have you heard of Bear Creek soup, it comes in a bag at the grocery store and you just add a few ingredients to it and it tastes excellent!! Hopefully some of those will spark a few ideas for you :-)
Carry In

We've had a lot of carry ins lately because of birthdays. Veggie or fruit pizzas are always a hit and it's really easy. Cheesy potatoes are also another hit for carry ins. I have a dip that's really easy, quite fattening, but really good. It's a cup of mayonnaise, a cup of Parmesan cheese, a small container of bacon bits and a package of shredded cheese. You mix everything together and put it in a hollowed out bread bowl and bake it in the oven at 350 for like a 1/2 hour I think. It's good as it cools or you can put it in a small crock pot. Serve it with bread, crackers, whatever sounds good.
