Hey girls
I was wondering if anyone had any good recipes for breakfast casseroles?
Someone at a meeting had one with (I think) eggs, cheese, and sausage and I loved it. Just wondering what other recipes like this that people may have.

Breakfast Casserole
I have one my kids love it
you take
6 slices of white or wheat bread and butter one side and lay flat in a 9x13 pan
you may use what ever kind of meat you like (Ham,Bacon,Sausage)cook in skillet until done and then layer on top of the bread until bread is covered
The next layer is a bag of frozen shredded potatoes you may use chunks if you like( The amount you use depends on your own preferance as to how much potatoes you like)
Then top with two cups of shredded chedder cheese
In a bowl mix a dozen eggs and a cup of milk and whisk together then pour the mixture over the whole dish and bake at 350 for a hour or until the eggs have set all the way through the dish
If your casserole is not that thick when you get to the last cheese layer then you will not need as much eggs and milk mine is usually full to the top of the pan.
You may also add other things if you like we sometimes add
green peppers, onions,Mushrooms, more than one kind of meat ,and I also use egg substitute sometimes.
I guess that why my kids call it breakfast pizza
hope you enjoy if you have any questions just ask
Try it
Well I have just made this for breakfast this morning! I hope it turns out right, I love everything in it!
Thanks
crazy question
This may be a crazy question but does the butter side of the bread go up or down?
Butter
I had the same question so I just did it with the butter on the bottom and it works.
It was a great breakfast for all to eat.
Down
So sorry I forgot to put that it goes butter side down. Did it turn out all right for everyone who tried it?
Just put it in the oven
I just put it in the oven so I will let you know how it turns out!
