Bra fitting

Has you ever had a "professional" measure you for a bra? Was it worth it? I've nursed 2 kids, and my boobs just don't fit in my bras anymore, and I can't seem to find one that fits at all! They are gapping, folding over...I don't know if it's too big or too small (the bra, that is).
I once saw on Oprah they measured the audience and most were shocked when they found out their true size. Most were smaller around, and a bigger cup than they thought.

Bra fitting
I went to Macy's to get fitted after I breast fed my twins and I was shocked at the size difference. I was trying to squeeze into a much smaller size. Every few months when I shop for new bras I make sure I get fitted.
DEFINITELY!
I have been fitted every time I've gotten bras since I was 18. It makes SUCH a difference. After having my daughter I am now a 40D, so I say it's definitely worth it. In my experience, going to a smaller lingerie store is better than going to a department store or to Victoria's Secret. The place I've gone is back home in Michigan, so I can't make a suggestion, but they're more about making you comfortable than selling the bra.
too funny
Okay, this is just too funny...I also got to thinking about bra fittings while in the dressing room this past weekend, at Kohl's, as I was trying on dresses to wear to my daughter's communion ceremony! I was wondering if I should start a discussion about it here, but Jessica beat me to the punch :) I've heard of the "professionals", but didn't know if they still existed :)
professionals
They do still exist, but I didn't know how professional the "professionals" are at JCPenney and Victoria's Secret are. Do they really know what they are doing? Does anyone know of a specialty bra shop around here?
And speaking of specialty shops, after seeing that episode of Oprah, I'm almost sure I won't be able to find the right size at a normal store. Did anyone see that one...it was a long time ago? Women thought they wore 36C or 34B, and left wearing a something crazy like a 24FF...haha! I do know it's hard to find smaller around with bigger cups...I found that out while nursing!

bras
Well I went to Victoria Secrets to get sized but the bra I bought from them I hated it didn't feel comfortable at all I just had a baby a month ago so I haven't been since but I know they did size me right when I did go. I go to Kohls to get my bras and they last pretty long and have a good selection I'm at a 38DD and they actually haved it, its very hard for me to find my size but they have pretty much all sizes.
VS
Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of VS bras. I've tried them on many times, and I've only bought one, and I hated it. They all seem so thick, heavy, chunky, bulky...whatever you want to call it. Bras don't seem to last many washings anyway, so I can't see paying $50 for a bra! Maybe I'm just not trying on the right ones. Anyone love VS bras?

Not a fan of VS
I honestly feel that when you are buying a VS bra, you are just paying for the name. I've never liked any of their bras or underwear. I think they are outrageously priced for such little pieces of fabric! I have found the best bra ever from Kohls, its the Vera Wang collection. I ended up finding a bra in that line a couple of weeks ago for 11.00 after the sale and my coupon! It's so soft and fits perfect! I highly recommend :-)
Lane Bryant
My mother-in-law as the same problem and she just went to Lane Bryant in UPMall (plus size store) and they help her a lot and with a really personal touch.
Me personaly I liked the old VS braws but now it's not my favorite anymore, too comercial and their braw don't have the same quality I think as it was before.
I have been
I have been fitted for a Bra several times from sears to JCPennys and even victory's secrets And I seemed to never get fitter right. It sux because now i don't know what to do. I don't think they are even really trained in it. If i ever go to New york City i want to go see the Bra whisperer. sounds Crazy but i would do it.
Once
I did get fitted once when I went to Dawn Lanser to purchase nursing bras. She was very helpful, it was before she had the two stores but I think she does still sell nursing bras. My size was close but I could go down and was OK with a smaller size in certain brands we found.
