I enjoy the picture book, It's Pumpkin Time, by Zoe Hall. I bought this at a bookstore when my oldest was an infant. It's the one book my kids and I look forward to reading every October. It's short and sweet, with lots of colorful pictures!
I'll have to find that one. If it has staying power, it must be great:)! We still love the reliable, "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". My kids feel for Charlie Brown's costume blunder and Linus with his sincere heart. Lynn

The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams and Megan Lloyd
For older children my favorite halloween series is the Bunnicula Series by James Howe. Howie and Chester just crack us up.
From my childhood, Charlie Brown of course tops the list! I also remember books about Georgie the Ghost and a Little witch who went to witch school (can't remember or find the title).
