Baby's First Signs
Has anyone used the Baby Einstein's Baby's First Signs dvd or another method to teach your baby sign language? I wanted to with Luke, but he didn't have the patience for it at all! Santa got Shawn the Baby Einstein dvd, but I didn't know if he was quite old enough for it yet.

I use that one and a couple others. Bekka was born deaf and has a cochlear implant so she has some hearing now. Our speech therapist said that sign is good for little ones to learn hearing impaired or not that studies show when they can't communicate they get stressed out and frustrated. Learning sign helps them with that and destresses them so that instead of being frustrated they can focus on learning to speak. We recently started using communication devices with Bekka and it's amazing how many new sounds she's making now. I can tell that she's not frustrated anymore too. HTH!
