So last month I started my period on Jan 1st and still have yet to start this month. I checked a period calculator online put in I have a 35 day cycle (I know it's closer to 28 days) I also put in that I started on the 3rd just to be safe and it still came up that my start date should have been Feb 6th. Thinking I was late 3 days ago I took an at home test that first had no reading what so ever so I took the same test again and it said I was not pregnant but I don't know what else it could be, I recently started taking Lexapro for depression but had started that right before my last period and still had a regular period that month. Any thoughts???

Did you get your period in

Did you get your period in January after having a baby?? Sometimes it takes a few months for your body to get readjusted. You also said you started taking Lexapro. There is a chance this may also be what is affecting your cycle. It's rare that these types of drugs have affects on your cycle, but it is not impossible. If you don;t have your period in another week of so, take another pregnancy test. If it turns out you are pregnant, check with your doctor. He or she may want to discontinue your Lexapro. They usually don't want women to take these drugs if they are pregnant unless absolutely necessary. Good luck!!

Pregnant....

With my first daughter it took about a month for the test to show up positive. That was not only with an at home test, but urine test & blood tests at the doctors office. They all showed up negative but I still hadn't gotten my period and finally a month after my period should have started I started getting sick and so I took another at home test and sure enough it was positive. So pregnancy is still possible, it just may be to early for the test to detect it.
