Ok, so I've been CVSing for a few weeks and I'm definitely getting the hang of it!  The cashier is always in AWWW when I check out, have a cart full of stuff and pay less than $1.  Here's what I bought last night:

1 bottle of Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Lotion $5.99
3 tubes of Colgate toothpaste $2.39 each
1 Colgate Wave toothbrush $2.39
1 box of Honeycombs cereal  $3.49, buy one get one free
1 box of Fruity Pebbles cereal - Free
4 2-packs of Gerber 2nd foods - $1.69 each, buy one get one 50%

My total before coupons was $24.12
Used a $4/$20 purchase coupon
$9 worth of man. coupons
Paid with $10 ECBs
I paid $0.89 out of pocket, and got another $8 in ECBs to used next time I go!!

Jessica, I am new to the

Jessica,
I am new to the site and have to ask, what are ECB's...I am assuming they are some kind of CVS reward money?

EBCs

EBCs = ExtraCare Bucks.  For example, the Colgate toothpaste I bought.  I paid $2.39 for it, but when my receipt printed out, there was a coupon at the bottom for $2 (for each tube of toothpaste and toothbrush, so $8 total) that I can use for my next trip to CVS.  Yes, as you said, like reward money for the next time you visit.  The Colgate toothpaste is advertised in CVS's weekly circular as $0.39, after EBC ($2.39 less $2.00 ECBs).

Stay tuned to the site for a whole new section on CVS shopping and saving!  I'm totally fascinated by my savings, I am working on sharing it with everyone :)

Now THAT'S my kind of shopping!

Great job!!!!!!! I see you've gotten the hang of couponing!!!! I, too, had a great CVS trip last week with Pampers, Pepsi, Garnier Nutrisse, and Maybelline Mineral makeup. I don't have my receipt to do a rundown but from memory I got 4-12 packs of Diet Pepsi products(there is an in-store form for a $10 rebate on purchasing 4 diet products), 2-Maybelline Mineral makeup products(BOGOF + $3 off coupon), 2-Jumbo packs Pampers($8.99+2-$2 off coupons), Cascade 2-in-1 gel packs($3.99? + $1.50 off coupon)and Garnier Nutrisse(Buy 2/$10 get $5 ECB back making total 2/$5+ 2-$2off coupons) - plus for buying the pampers and Cascade I got $5 ECBs back + 2-$4 off of $20 coupons. Pre-coupon total was somewhere around $55 and post coupon including rebate was $15!!!!!! Sorry so long.

Obsessed

My husband says I'm obsessed with CVS shopping!  It really has turned into an obsession, but a good one, I think :)  I have stocked up on 9 packs of Huggies and Pampers over the past few weeks, and my total CVS spending for the YEAR is $54, not to mention all of the toothpaste, Excedrin, shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, pop, chips, and everything else I've stocked up on.  You really can save a TON with an hours worth of coupon clipping and planning each week.  Oh, I've spent $54 out of pocket this year, and I have $35 in EBC coupons that I need to use.

Your Not Alone

Your not alone in someone thinking your obsessed. I myself go CVS'ing and my dh is ready to hide my cvs key tags and all the cvs cards. He is complaining our basement is not going to be a storage area for my cvs things. Since starting CVS'ing a few months ago really hardcore I've become the proud owner of 30 blood glucose monitors. I am trying to contact the JDF (Juvenile Diabetes Foundation) contact I was giving for the monitors but we can never seem to get together.

I bet you made money on them!

You may have a basement full of blood glucose monitors that YOU don't need, but when you are making money on them, why not buy them?  Not to mention, donating them to JDF is fantastic!  I'm sure there are plenty of families who would be so happy to have those!

Just in the last 3 weeks, I think I have stocked up on 9 tubes of toothpaste.  But I'm actually making money on them, so it's silly not to buy them!  I can always throw them in the donation box at church.

Hey, if you are finding great deals at CVS, post them here, if you would like to share :)  Good job!!
